Welcome to our School.

We hope you find our website clear, informative, and easy to navigate. It is designed to give you a flavour of the vibrant life of our small, inclusive and friendly, school.

"I am very proud to be headteacher at Seadown. Children and young people who have previously been isolated or excluded from school are supported to grow and develop socially; to gain some confidence to do their personal best.

Our skilled staff are experienced at working with young people with a variety of needs including; SEMH (BESD), moderate learning or speech and language difficulties, dyslexia, autistic spectrum and ADHD. We recognise the importance of motivating pupils to value some academic success and to feel positive about relationships.

Through regular training, staff keep abreast of current research and understanding around social, emotional and mental health needs. This will include 'positive behaviour management' and support for young people with autistic spectrum. Staff will use a range of nurture and support strategies that best-suit individual needs, such as lego therapy and restorative justice.

OFSTED says that we are a good school: 'The school meets pupils’ different and challenging needs well' (October 2016).

Seadown has a real agenda for child-centred learning and we work hard to ensure that we celebrate every success, how ever small."
